About Me:
I currently work for the largest credit union in the state of New Hampshire. We also provide financial services to the U.S. Military at many overseas branches.
I've held quite a few positions over the years as you can see below and I've worked in quite a few fields. I really enjoyed my time working in the meeting and planning industry. I got to travel quite a lot while working there.
I've been a computer enthusiast since 1980 or so. I started out with a Digital VT180 computer, sometimes called a Digital "Robin". I've owned an Atari 400, a Commodore 64, an Amiga2000, PC's from 486's, Pentium, Celeron, PII, PIII, Athlon, and Athlon64. I've installed Linux since I had a 486 pc; I remember that I installed Yggdrasil Linux followed by Slackware. I also own a NewTek Video Toaster in a GVP accelerated A2000. I'm an avid reader; I especially love fantasy/Sci-fi genres. I'm a big fan of Daniel Keys Moran and George R.R. Martin. I love motorcycles, especially Japanese bikes; I love Ducati and Triumph as well. The engineering and performance in these machines is amazing.
I've recently traveled to Oregon State for training and found it to be an amazing place. Very much like New Hampshire (lots of trees and hills but it's even greener!) and the people are very friendly! Where I stayed, Corvallis, was a wonderful place; So many people bike around town, there are bike paths everywhere and even the traffic signals have sensors in the pavement for bikes! It's a fantastic place to visit!
I'm married and my wife and I are in the process of getting our home built. My recommendation to everyone would be if you're thinking about building you're own home... don't. Buy something turn-key new or used that will fit your needs. We made so many mistakes over the last several years and they were very costly. So unless you've done it before and know all the pitfalls, I'd be very, very careful. You really don't know what you're doing and that can cost you... a lot!
Well, enough doom and gloom! Work is good, the economy is good, Shrillary is going to be president (ahhhh!) sorry, getting ahead of myself!
I'm a civics junkie as well and I bend fiscally conservative (nigh-libertarian) and I'm very much against big government. I want the government out of my wallet. As far as I'm concerned, it's legalized theft at gunpoint by organized criminals. Brings to mind the quote, "You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy."

I worked as a water systems installer and gained some skill at plumbing, soldering copper pipe, pipefitting. I could be a decent plumbers helper.
